The NICE Programme
NICE stands for Next steps In Creative Experience and is a project that was developed by Nicola Golightly and Vicky Holbrough. Through many years of collaborating together, they designed and ran this six month creative development opportunity for early stage artists aged 19-25 years old. More information can be found on the NICE website. Now run as Navigator North, the programme has opportunities for artists who do not fall within the age bracket.
A project based at The Bowes Museum. The participants were early stage artists who were invited to work with us at the museum, respond to the collections and get a real behind the scenes experience. More information can be found on the The Insight Blog.

Wild Art Artist Residency
A project designed to engage Year 4 students, Wild Art worked with pupils at Nunthorpe Primary school to capture their imaginations regarding wildlife. Exploring natural ways of working, they worked with me to create typographic designs and large scale illustrations inspired by chickens.
